PetCare+ Pro ("the app", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains in detail what data we collect, how we use it, where we store it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what rights you have. Please read it carefully.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller responsible for your personal data in connection with PetCare+ Pro is:

2. What data we collect
2.1 Data you provide directly
Account and authentication
- Email address – We collect your email when you create an account or sign in with Google. We use it to identify your account, send account-related communications, and store it in Firestore so your progress syncs across devices. We do not use your email for third-party marketing unless you have given separate consent.
- Password – Your password is never stored by us in plain text. Authentication is handled entirely by Google Firebase Authentication. We do not have access to your actual password.
- Display name – If you provide a name, we use it to display your profile in the app and store it in Firestore.
Sign in with Google – We receive from Google: email, display name, and optionally profile photo URL. We do not receive or store your Google password.
2.2 Data generated when you use the app
Stored in Google Cloud Firestore and linked to your account:
- Account identifier (UID), profile data (display name, email, photo URL)
- Premium subscription end date (
premiumUntil) - Rewards and progress: unlocked avatars, achievements, XP, level, care streaks, tasks completed, pet count
- Referral program data (if applicable)
2.3 Technical and device data
- Device and app – Device type, OS version, app version (for compatibility and improvement).
- Advertising (Google AdMob) – In the free version we show ads via AdMob. AdMob may collect device/ad interaction data per Google’s policies. We do not send your email or name to AdMob for ad targeting.
- Location – Only if you grant permission, and only for the features you use; we do not track location for advertising.
2.4 Purchases (Premium)
All payments are processed by Google Play. We do not collect or store payment card details. We only store that you have an active Premium subscription and until what date.
2.5 Notifications
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for push notifications (e.g. pet care reminders). Local notifications may use device storage; we do not use notification content for profiling or advertising.
3. Where we store your data
- Cloud: Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging). Data is on Google’s servers.
- On your device: Cache, preferences for offline/faster use. We do not use this to send your data to third parties for advertising.
- Passwords: Never stored by us; managed solely by Firebase Authentication.
4. Why we use your data
We use your data to: create and manage your account; provide app features (profile, rewards, Premium, referral); sync progress across devices; show/remove ads; process Premium via Google Play; send notifications; improve the app and security; comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Who we share your data with
We share data only with: Google/Firebase (auth, database, storage, messaging); Google AdMob (ads in free version); Google Play (payments). We do not sell your data. We may disclose data if required by law.
6. How long we keep your data
- Active account: we keep profile and activity data while your account is active.
- After account deletion: we delete or anonymise within a reasonable period (e.g. 30 days), except where we must retain data for legal reasons.
- Passwords: we do not store them.
7. Security
We use HTTPS/TLS, Firebase Authentication (industry-standard), and Firestore security rules so only you can access your own data. We never store or log passwords in readable form.
8. Your rights
Under applicable law (including GDPR), you have the right to: Access; Rectification; Erasure; Restriction; Data portability; Object; Withdraw consent; Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us at purcariu.vlad05@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time (e.g. 30 days where required by law).
9. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change. Material changes may be communicated in the app or by email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
